Master of Arts Public Relations is a 2 year full-time master’s program. The course is affiliated to University of Mumbai. This program is of two years divided into four semesters. Medium of examination: English or Marathi or Hindi. Medium of Instruction: English

First Semester
Public Relations Theory and Practice Media Relations and Media Writing Introduction to Organisational Behaviour and HR policies Research In Public Relations I
Second Semester
Public Relations Campaigns Research in Public Relations - II New Media and Technologies in Public Relations Media Laws
Third Semester
Public Relations in the Private and Public Sector Role of Finance in Public Relations Media Management Media Advocacy

Graduates belonging to any stream can apply for Masters in Arts Public Relations. Entry is done on the basis of a Written Test (language and GK), Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview. Admissions will be done on merit, based on the scores of the Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.


Admission to the course offered by the rules framed by the University of Mumbai from time to time and will be given at the commencement of the first semester.

Programme Outcome

This Degree Programme offers students belonging to any stream instruction in either Communication & Journalism or Public Relations and readies them for employability in the fields of print, broadcast or online Journalism or Public Relations. A dedicated Placement Cell offers students of the Programme internship and placement opportunities.

Scheme of Examination

The Scheme of the Examination shall be divided in two parts: Internal Assessment - 40 Marks The allocation of 40 marks shall be based on Project and Viva by internal and external faculty. Semester End Examination - 60 Marks This examination shall be of 2 hours and will be conducted by University of Mumbai.
