National Service Scheme (NSS)

        ●   On January 24, 2022, a Cloth and Blanket Dona on Drive was conducted in collabora on with 'KHUSHIYAAN', an NGO. This
             was an extension of the project  tled MUSKURAHAT. Seventy-five volunteers par cipated in this
             ac vity.
        ●   On the occasion of Na onal Girl Child Day, in collabora on with 'khushiyaan' a Thane-based NGO,
             the Units organised 'Ro ghar for Animals' in which they fed biryani, specially prepared for
                                    animals on January 24, 2022.
                                ●    A Dona on Drive for school children was organised in Z.P. School,
                                     Dahanu    on  February  18,  2022  to  provide  sta onery  items  to
                                     children from Std.I – VIII. As a precursor to this Drive, a Sta onery
                                     Collec on Drive had been conducted in the College premises from
                                     February 14 - February 16, 2022.
        ●   Avsarr - Ek Nayi Pehel – A Fiesta:  This first ever fiesta conducted by the NSS Units of the College
        was organized from February 28 to March 01 2022. The fiesta was intended to spread awareness
        about several unacknowledged issues through an array of six events which included Turncoat Debate,
        Diary Wri ng, 8 Frames 1 Story, Group Dance, Best out of Waste and Object Pain ng. As part of the
                               fiesta, a webinar on 'Teenage Depression and Suicide' was also conducted.



                               ●     On the occasion of Interna onal Women's Day, the Unit organised a Street Play  tled 'Kabhi Na
                                     Hari, Sashakt Naari' on March 08, 2022 to promote the safety of women. The Mumbai Police
                                     presented roses to girls of the  NSS Units and the Nirbhaya Squad awarded cer ficates to the NSS
                                     volunteers.



        ●   On March 23, 2022, a seminar  tled 'How Different is Different?' was organised in the College to create awareness and
             empathy towards differently abled people. The session was organised in collabora on with Yash Charitable Trust .

        ●   A sports ac vity was organised in collabora on with Khushiyaan, an NGO on March 25, 2022 in which volunteers gathered
             children to play sports with them and explained to them the benefits of spor ng ac vi es.
        ●   A Paper Recycling Workshop was conducted in the College on March 25- 26, 2022. Mr.
             Kapildeo  Indurkar,  the  Resource  Person  for  the  workshop,  explained  how  old
             newspapers and used papers can be made new without the  use of chemicals.

        ●   A Seed Ball Making session was conducted in the College on March 21, 2022 by Mr.
                                     Vishal Mankar who gave a brief explana on about Seed Balls
                                     and guided students to create seed balls with five different
                                     types of seeds namely, Marigold, Lady Finger, Brinjal, Red
                                     Spinach, and Green Chilli. This crea ve and out of the box event was much appreciated by the
                                     District Co-ordinator, Dr. Kran  Ukey.



                                 ●   In the course of the academic year, the NSS Units of the College organized and par cipated in 09
             Blood Dona on Camps and collected a total of 1246 units of blood. The camps were
             conducted at different loca ons such as the College premises, Churchgate, CSMT and
             Dadar  railway  sta ons.  They  were  conducted  in  collabora on  with  hospitals  and
             organiza ons such as Nair Hospital, Jagjivan Ram Hospital and Shri Satya Sai Seva
             Organisa on. Donors were given Donor Cards and Cer ficates to acknowledge their
             contribu on.
