Field Visit
Students of FYBAMMC and SYBMM visited a Photography
Exhibition titled 'Aftermath: 35 years after the Bhopal Gas
Tragedy' by Mr. Rohit Jain, a Social Documentary Photographer
and Short Story Writer. Students learnt about the Bhopal Gas
Tragedy and about the life of victims living the repercussions of
the disaster. (December 10, 2019)
Workshop
TYBMM (Journalism) students attended a Workshop at MET
Institute, Mumbai on 'Fake News, News Reading and On-screen
Essentials' conducted by Ms. Shweta Khanna Bhandral, Google News Initiative India Training
Network Trainer and a Journalist with an experience of over 20 decades. (January 10, 2020)
Students' Achievements
· Karishma Jangid of TYBMM (Journalism) was selected for 'Young Critics Lab', a programme of the
Moving Academy of Moving Images (MAMI), Mumbai Film Festival wherein lmmakers and lm
critics from all over the world train short-listed candidates on how to write about cinema in a
manner that is relevant, knowledgable and insightful.
· Shrutika Rokade from TYBMM (Advertising) worked as Assistant Director for the Bollywood lm
'The Sky is Pink'.
· Chinmayee Barde from SYBMM acted in Google's Women's Day special short lm. She also acted
in the international mini-web series for DBS co-starring cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
· Utkarsh Verma from FYBAMMC won an award in the Photography category in the All-India Youth
Creative Contest - 'Kalpana 2020' . This contest was organised by 'The Samariteens of
Hyderabad'.
· Shravan Bokadia, Mili Doshi, Kayan Sarkari, Yash Thaleshri, Varun Vora, Dhruv Thakkar and
Satyendra Mishra from FYBAMMC won the Second Prize in 'News Parody', a competition at Detour
Media Fest of Jai Hind College.
· Gaurav Rawal from FYBAMMC won the 'Best Lyricist' prize and secured the Second Position in
'Rapture the Beat' contest at Detour Media Fest of Jai Hind College.
· Yash Thaleshri and Kayan Sarkari from FYBAMMC secured the Second Position in 'Stand-up
Comedy' at Detour Media Fest of Jai Hind College.
· Yash Purohit from FYBAMMC won the Mr. Hinduja title in the Personality Contest organised by the
Cultural Committee of K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce. He also ranked Second in the
Singing Contest at 'Carnival' organized by the Rotaract Club of Hinduja College.

· Nandini Begwani from SYBMM was part of a Hindustan Unilever Awareness campaign titled
'Plastic Banega Fantastic'.

· Rahil Doshi of TYBMM (Advertising) was adjudged as the 'Shining Star of the Department'.
