On the occasion of Interna onal Women's Day, the Department organised a session on 'Women in Cineworld' in collabora on with
Marathi Vangmaya Mandal and Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI). The session was graced by eminent
Resource Persons with a background in cinema. Theses stalwarts included Ms. Apurva Mo wale, Editor of several Hindi, Marathi
and Telugu films and recipient of the 'Best Editor' award from MICTA Interna onal Marathi Film Fes val; Ms. Dilshad Nanji, an in-
house colourist at Coolab Media and Ms. Khushbhu Khedekar, and entrepreneur and owner of Tactrics VFX studio. The session was
moderated by Mr. Tejasvi Khatry, Co-ordinator, M.A. (Public Rela ons) and Advanced Diploma in Adver sing at the Ins tute of
Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai.

Besides discussing film related aspects such as post-produc on, the Resource Persons shared their insights about the world of
cinema and the challenges faced by women in the field The session concluded with a ques on-answer round

Workshop

The Department organised a Workshop on 'Research Methodology' in collabora on
with Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai. The Resource Persons for
the workshop were Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Assistant Professor and Head of the Research
Centre at K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce and Dr. Tariq Raja, Associate Professor,
Technical University of Kashmir. The workshop which provided valuable guidance to
budding research scholars and faculty was well a ended covered it important topics
such as 'How to Prepare a Research Proposal; Selec on of a Topic; Research Design;
Data Collec on; Sta s cal Analysis So ware and Report Wri ng. (February 09- 10,
2022)

Institute of Management Studies (IMS)

A two-day Online Workshop for Master of Library and Informa on Science (M.Lib. and I.Sc.) students was conducted at the College
Study Centre No. 31236 over Zoom on February 12 – 13, 2022. Nineteen students from the College Centre and two students from
another Centre a ended the Workshop.
The Resource Persons for the Workshop were the following:
● Dr. Vilas Jadhav, Deputy Librarian, Bharatratna Maharshi Karve Knowledge Resource
Centre, SNDT Women's University, Mumbai.
● Dr. Bhupendra Bansod, Librarian, P.V.D.T. Women Educa on College, SNDT Women's
