Impact of COVID -19 on Education

COVID-19 will forever be remembered as the virus that shut down the world. It changed our lives in that we never
thought could be possible and had an unimaginably significant impact on the field of education. Schools, Colleges and

Universities stopped working in a physical mode and affected more than 1.2 billion learners worldwide.
Admission processes in colleges were delayed; lectures were conducted online reducing the intensity of learning and
the pleasure of intra-personal interactions and celebrations that make College life both thrilling and memorable.

Digital learning became the new norm which most students were unfamiliar with. Laptops and smart phones became
a necessity and with online examinations malpractices became common.
However, just like a proverbial coin with two sides COVID-19 opened a whole new world for education with online

learning platforms such as YouTube videos which can be viewed repeatedly: no rigidity in terms of time, place and
pace; no classification of front benchers and back benchers; no limitation on class strength and learning beyond the

        boundaries of classrooms.
COVID-19 is hopefully passe, but its ramifications will remain. The world of education is transformed and there will be
no going back. After all, the hands of a clock move forwards, not backwards.

To the One Who Gave Me Life and Taught Me How To Live It!

It all started in her lap one day,When I cried and she smiled away; Close to her heart,
he held me thereTo give a glimpse of life and a touch of care.

She is the one who her hand does lend; Right the day of our birth up to the end.

           Her love is  like  a  moonlight  song, That turns anything ugly or harsh into beauty before long;
More than just my friend, more than my guide I call her 'My Mum', and she is my real pride.

I fear the day, When 'my colours' will turn grey; When she goes far away
No matter what, she will always be in my heart,

In every memory and never far apart.
Cause she is the only one And we call her
'Mother' Like whom there can be no other! ----------------
