School Life: A Bliss

Life was good when the biggest problem was 'incomplete homework',
Teachers would scold us and friends would tease.

Eating tiffin in the middle of the classroom sounded like a risky deal,
But we couldn't help ourselves because it was the tastiest meal.

Singing songs on the last bench felt so right,
Arguing with teachers to take a PT period was a real fight.

Forming a line for Computer class had a different level of excitement,
But not being able to play games was such a disappointment.

Being a monitor was cool,
But the backbenchers were the real heroes of the school.
Beaming with happiness when the school bell would ring,

Life was as beautiful as a summer spring.

Playing X and ZERO between a boring lecture,
Bunking classes
Snacking on junk food

Made us feel so good.

We were foolish to hate school, thinking life is much

Better outside,
Whereas the truth is if given a chance we all would
prefer school life over any other stage of life.
