K. P. B. HINDUJA COLLEGE OF COMMERCE
From the Chairman
Smt. P.D. Hinduja Trust’s
K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce
The year 2023 has in many ways been a year of many developments. We lost our beloved Shri. S.P. Hinduja, late
Ex-Chairman of the Trust, who was a guiding light for all of us and the College. His invaluable contribution to the
growth of the College and its many achievements of the past are gratefully acknowledged.
We also wish to welcome our new Governing Council who are people with decades of relevant experience and
leaders in their respective domain. We wish to be inspired and guided by their wisdom and experience constantly.
Going ahead we take inspiration and would like to share some developments that would interest the community at
large. The College, as you know, became autonomous last year and we have made substantial changes in the
curricula to try and become more contemporary and relevant. Towards it, an Academic Council comprising
educationists and eminent experts from the industry has been specially formed.
Some of the initiatives include the introduction of new programmes like Bachelor of Business Administration -
Digital Business, Certificate Course on FinTech, Certificate Course on Indian History & Numismatics and we are
putting in place additional programmes that will take us down the path of being more relevant and contemporary.
We wish to introduce programmes for Climate Finance, Environmental Risk Management, etc.
In light of some of our growth plans, we have decided to embark on an ambitious redevelopment programme. Our
building in Charni Road will be replaced by a modern state-of-the-art building with a substantially increased
capacity which we hope will facilitate not only our teachers, students, and staff, in a more conducive
environment, but also allow for increased plans for growth. We hope to keep you updated on developments on
these fronts.
The College has come to be recognised for its academic rigour as enumerated in various surveys. With its high
standards of education, it is well-positioned to venture into international partnerships and collaborations. In the
“Amrit Kaal” phase as India marches on its roadmap to becoming a developed nation, this will establish our
College as a multi-disciplinary, contemporary and modern institution with a global outlook that seeks to build a
solid foundation of world-class education for the future citizens of the country.
On behalf of all the Managing Trustees, I wish everyone at the College, its faculty, staff and students, a very happy
and joyous new year. May the institution attain even more glory and success in the times to come!
