English Language Association (Junior College)

The Association commenced its activities with an Essay Writing Competition on August 20, 2019. The
topics for the competition were, 'India of My Dreams',' Nature's Fury and 'Friendship in the Times of

Social Media'. The essays were evaluated by faculty members, Ms. Smita Menon & Ms. Divya

Yogeshwar. The awardees were the following:

First Prize : Avadhi Jain (SYJC)

Second Prize : Dhanashree Kadam (SYJC)

Third Prize : Jhanvi Joshi (SYJC)

The importance of reading cannot be underestimated, With this objective the Association arranged a
'Speech Reading Competition' for students on December 21, 2019 wherein students read out

speeches of famous orators and political and spiritual leaders.

Kuldeep Rauka (FYJC) was adjudged winner

With a view to make students develop ‘Out of the Box’ thinking the Association arranged a 'Caption
Writing Competition' for students. The competition received an overwhelming response and was

judged by faculty members, Mr. Ranjit Chavan and Mr. Uttam Bhagat.
