• Arth-Utsav 2022 (August 20, 2022)
Nagindas Khandwala College of Commerce and Management Studies &
Shantiben Nagindas Khandwala College of Science under the aegis of the
Planning Forum of the Department of Economics organized Arth-Utsav
2022 in which a range of events related to the field of Economics were
conducted in which our students participated enthusiastically.
Ms. Jyoti Choudhary of the S.Y.B.Com. Class participated in the Essay
Writing Competition and was awarded the Second Prize for her essay titled,
'-Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka'.

To inculcate a reading habit and to enhance the general knowledge of students, especially in the area of Economics an Essay Writing
competition was organized for students both, from the Aided and Self Finance Sections on the following topics:
• Atmanirbhar Bharat: An Approach towards Self-reliance
• Indian Economy: Post-Covid Scenario
• To Be a Healthy Successful Nation, India Should Ensure Universal Health Coverage
• Can Digital Economy Contribute to Financial Inclusion?
• Economic Growth with Inclusion is Essential to Achieve Sustainable Growth
Eighteen participants of the competition were judged by Dr. Mahendra R. Mishra, Assistant Professor of Economics at K. J.
Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce. The following winners were awarded with Certificates and Cash at the Annual Prize
