The College Women Development Cell (CWDC), a statutory body constituted under the Vice–Chancellor's Directives to promote
the general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching staff had an activity packed Academic Year dedicated to the
upliftment of womenfolk.
• Orientation Programme (September 27, 2022)
An Orientation Program was held to familiarize students with the structure and working of the Women Development Cell and to
motivate newly inducted students and the faculty. Prof. Daivata Patil, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and
Journalism, University of Mumbai and the Producer of the 2018 Marathi drama 'Barayan' was the guest at the programme. She
spoke on the subject of 'Digital Spaces through Gender Lens'.
• Quiz on International Girl Child Day (October 11– 14, 2022)
A quiz was organized on the occasion to spread awareness about the difficulties and problems faced by girl children in many parts of
the world. The quiz was open for 04 days and received an overwhelming response.
• Screening of a Documentary Film on Savitribai Phule (January 03, 2023)
On the occasion of Savitribai Phule's birth anniversary on January 03, a documentary film screening was organized via Zoom to
spread awareness about her role in the fight for women's rights in India way back in the 19th century.
• Session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene (January 21, 2023)
Ms. Rashmee Bhowmic, conducted a session on 'Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management'
in which she emphasized on the importance of menstrual health and hygiene and cleared the
myths and doubts of attendees. This subject of the webinar which though very important is
usually not discussed freely was especially curated to suit female volunteers.
• Reel Making Competition (February 07 – 10, 2023)
A team-based Reel Making competition was organized in which each team had to make reels
on given subjects. Winners were awarded at the Annual Prize Distribution function.
