Parents-Teachers Association – PTA (Aided Section)

        Twenty-six parents attended an online meeting of the Parents-Teachers Association which commenced with a formal introduction of
        faculty members and confirmation of PTA accounts by the Association Convener, Mr. Sanjay Ghodke . This was followed by faculty
        member, Ms. Mithu Biswas giving information about the Book Bank Scheme and financial support extended to needy students by
        the College and the PTA Vice Principal Ms. Chandrakala Joshi then   delivered a formal address She said that parents should
        motivate their wards to attend lectures regularly and to take part in various College activities, events and programs such as NSS,
        NCC, DLLE, Women's Development Cell, Students' Council and others for their wholesome development. The Vice Principal
        further emphasized that Corporates absorb diligent students and parents can help to identify placement opportunities for students in
        internship programs and provide entrepreneurship guidance to them. She even shared that the College premises will soon be going
        for redevelopment and invited suggestions from parents for the upliftment and improvement of the College.
         Faculty member, Mr. Milind Bhuva then invited nominations from parents to the PTA. Twelve parents who gave their consent are
        Mr. Ranjan Rohit Jha, Mrs. Urmila Kanojiya, Mr. Shantilal Jain, Mrs. Sangeeta Nilesh Kathekar, Mrs. Mala Tiwari, Mrs. Yogini
        Yogeshwar Gurav, Mrs. Bhavna Jain, Mrs. Shakuntala Pujari, Mrs. Pushpa Gupta, Mrs. Smita Vyavhare, Mrs. Bhakti Darji and Mrs.
        Zara Shaikh.

        The meeting concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Ms. Mithu Biswas.

        The fifteenth 'Dharam S. Hinduja All India Essay Writing Competition for Lecturers' was organized by the Literary & Debating
        Society in March-April 2022. A total of seventeen entries were received and were judged by a distinguished panel of Judges
        comprising of the following:

           •  Dr. Chandra Iyer, noted Educationist, Author and Faculty at the Department of Management Studies, Birla College,
               Kalyan.

           •  Mr. Manoj Bhatia, a Management Expert & CPSM Vice President (Asia Head, Non-IT) at Morgan Stanley He is also a
               Corporate Trainer and Visiting Faculty at Management Institutes in Mumbai.

           •  Ms. Bhumicka Harii Singh, Fashion Stylist, Model and Blogger.
        Based on the average of marks awarded by the Judges, the winners of the competition were the following:
              First Prize: Mr. Durgesh Kumar Dubey of K.P.B. Hinduja College for the essay titled,
              ‘Are Global Warming and Economic Growth Compatible?’
              Second Prize: Prof. Prajakta S. Raut of Abhinav Degree College, Bhayander for her essay titled,
               'Patriarchy is a Pillar of Social Inequality'
              Third Prize: Dr. Savita Punjabi of Bharat College of Arts & Commerce, Badlapur for the essay titled, ‘
              Are Global Warming and Economic Growth Compatible?’
