Orientation for FYBAMMC students
An online orientation was organized for FYBAMMC students to give them an overview about the course,
examination pattern and the mode of online instruction. They were informed about the various activities arranged
by the Department and the College such as Guest Lectures, Workshops, Film Screenings, Extra-Curricular
Activities and Placement Opportunities. (September 16, 2020)
Guest Lecture
Mr. Pankaj Athavale, a former Radio Jockey and Sports Commentator delivered a Guest Lecture on 'Radio
Scriptwriting, Radio Ads and Radio Production' which provided students with information about the preparation
that goes into radio programme production and the skills required for a career in the radio

Online Social Awareness Event – 'Maskwali Diwali'
The students of FYBAMMC organized an online social awareness event on the auspicious
o c c a s i o n o f D i w a l i – ' T h i s D i w a l i , L e t S a f e t y P r e v a i l '
(#issdiwalikhushiyonkesaathmaskbhibaaton). To encourage putting on face masks while
celebrating Diwali, all the students and teachers of the BAMMC department participated in the
event by posting their pictures wearing a mask paired with traditional Diwali outfits. A collage
of these photographs was posted on the Department's Instagram page '@bmmhinduja'.

Alumni Connect Sessions
The Department instituted 'Alumni Connect' sessions as a forum for interaction between accomplished alumni of
the Department and students currently in the Programme. Prominent alumni shared their experiences, area of
specialization and expertise.
• The first such session was on 'Effective Public Speaking' by Mr. Aman Sharma, a well-known emcee and a
Hinduja College BMM alumnus. He gave practical tips to communicate effectively with large audiences and
shared his personal knowledge and experiences in the field of public speaking. (November 25, 2020)
• The second alumni session was conducted by Mr. Atharva Pande, Assistant Producer at Mirror Now News
Channel for TYBMM (Journalism) students. He guided students on 'How to Design a News Magazine'.

Boot Camp
An online Boot Camp was conducted for final year students by Mr. Pratik Hinduja from
ISME School of Management and Entrepreneurship. He spoke at length about
entrepreneurship options for media students and career avenues in the field of digital
marketing. (January 21, 2021)
Master Class on Anchoring 101
As part of an initiative to inculcate peer-to-peer learning, a session on anchoring was conducted by student
mentor Ms. Tejaswini, a professional anchor and a student of TYBMM (Advertising) for students from other
Departments of the College. She focused on diction, voice modulation and other aspects of anchoring. (March
