           Certificate Course in Film-Making
           The Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication offered a Certificate course in
           'Film-Making' in collaboration with ISME School of Management and Entrepreneurship.
           Students learned about the various aspects of film-making such as cinematography, visual
           storytelling, pre-production, production, and post production from subject experts. (March
           10-15, 2021)


           Sound Editing Workshop
           This workshop was conducted by Dr. Mangesh Karandikar, Director at  MET Institute of Mass Media, Mumbai.  He
           explained the process of sound editing and key terms such as bass, treble, noise reduction etc. The session also
           provided basic hands-on training to students at audio mixing using the software that was provided. (March 18, 2021)

                               Magazine Publication – Unleashed
                               The students of TYBMM (Journalism) published their magazine 'Unleashed' in April 2021.
                               This year's edition had a special focus on the Covid-19 pandemic: out of eight feature stories
                               three were related to the pandemic. Apart from Covid-19 and its impact there were stories on
                               disability,  poverty  and  a  lost  generation,  fear  of  missing  out  and  also  one  on  an  ancient
                               monument of Nepal. The magazine publication provided hands-on training to the students as
                               all the news stories are reported, written and edited by them under the supervision of a faculty
                               mentor.

           Career Guidance Session
           A Career Guidance Session was organized for students of SYBAMMC. Mr. Prateek Singh, Associate Group Head –
           Brand Strategy, The Glitch, advised students on their choice of specialization in TYBAMMC as students can opt
           between Journalism and Advertising. The speaker also discussed career opportunities after graduation for students
           studying Mass Media. (May 17, 2021)

           Students' Achievements
              1.  Manaksh Bhanushali from TYBMM (Journalism) volunteered with the
                  Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) to scan and look
                  for COVID-19 patients in Mumbai's slums such as Dharavi in June 2020
                  at  a  time  when  most  people  were  locked  indoors.  He  helped  the
                  Municipal Corporation in efforts such as testing and screening people.
              2.  Madhuparna Mondal from FYBAMMC won the First Prize in the DIY Mask Painting Competition at
                  Mediatheque Fest organized by S.K. Somaiya College.
              3.  Fatema Bootwala from FYBAMMC secured the Second Position in a Singing Competition at Enigma
                  Festival organized by R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics and at Mediatheque Fest, S.K.
                  Somaiya College.
              4.  Ojasi Shetye from FYBAMMC won the Best ACL Prize for the Contingent Competition at Mediatheque
                  Fest, S.K. Somaiya College.
              5.  Anshika  Gandhi  from  FYBAMMC  was  awarded  the  Second  Prize  in  the  Solo  Dance  Competition  at
                  Mediatheque Fest organized by S.K. Somaiya College.
              6.  Bhavuk Arora from FYBAMMC won the Third Prize for Mono Acting and the Second Prize in the 'Rocket
                  League Competition' at Mediatheque Fest, S.K. Somaiya College.
              7.  Aayush Tahilramani and Manav Rana from FYBAMMC secured the second position in 'Rocket League
                  Competition' at Mediatheque Fest, S.K. Somaiya College.
              8.  Aayush Shah from FYBAMMC won the First Prize in the 'Mind Art Competition' at Trends organized by L.S.
                  Raheja College.
