• Webinar on Violence Against Women
The ac vi es of the Women's Week commenced with a webinar on the subject, 'Violence against Women'. Prof. (Dr.) Vibhu
Patel, an Expert Commi ee Member at School of Gender and Development, Indira Gandhi Na onal Open University, Delhi
and a Member of Indian Council of Basic Educa on, Gandhi Shikhshan Bhavan, Mumbai was the speaker at the webinar.

• Personality Compe on
A Personality Compe on with an off-beat theme tled, 'There Is More to Me Than People Know' was conducted in three
rounds in which the par cipants were judged on various parameters to judge their personality and to highlight their hidden
personality traits in various situa ons. The first round was an Elimina on Round in which par cipants had to send in a video
showcasing their skills on a WhatsApp link. In the second round, the par cipants had to speak about the women who had
impacted their lives and in the last round the par cipants had to respond to the ques ons of the Judge of the compe on,
Ms. S thipragnya Dash, a Senior News Curator at Scroll.in, which is a leading online news website. (March 04, 2022)
• Quiz Compe on
An online Quiz Compe on was organized with an aim to spread awareness about the rights of women around the world.
Responses to the Quiz Compe on were received via Google Form throughout the Women's Week and received an
overwhelming response of 611 responses. (March 05, 2022)
• Open Mic Compe on
An Open Mic Compe on was held online via the Zoom pla orm to provide students with an opportunity to vocalize their
thoughts based on the theme of Women's Week. The event showcased an excep onally ra onal and inspired thought
process in the young par cipants. The event was judged by Mr. Bharat Tailor. (March 07, 2022)
• Crime against Women and the Need for Self Defense
On the occasion of Interna onal Women's Day, WDC organized a Self Defense workshop on the topic 'Crime against Women
and the Need for Self Defense' in order to inculcate a spirit of self-confidence in women to affront violence and crime against
them. The Resource Person on the occasion, Dr. Chayya Shah is exemplary. She is a qualified Lecturer of Law and a Mar al Arts
Expert. She mo vated the audience; informed them about the legal and cons tu onal provisions to protect women and
shared valuable ps for self-defense. (March 07, 2022)
