Misty Lies Failures

                                                    Tina Aswani (M.Com. II)

Lie to yourself for a day I was thrown into an ocean of challenges
Though lies may easily find their way unseen and unheard
To your smile. Each step was heavier than a rock
Their scars are probably more in your mind Forced upon me I faced them and
But, they're only misty lies. learnt to take it all as it comes!

Lie to yourself for a day The disheartening failures
Obnoxious the lies may have been Are perhaps privileges in disguise
Your soul to absolutely demean Only if see them otherwise.
         To debunk your dreams
But, they're only misty lies. Life advances and so do challenges
None more than the strength you
         Walk out abrupt, hold within.
If the sudden gaze of the lies A li le push is all it takes to
Crosses your maze face them and surmount them.
         And compels you to squirm
         But, they're only misty lies.

Not every ending needs a closure
Not everyone performance fits in a role
If the lies pep up your mood
         If they feed your soul
But, they're only misty lies, let them lie low.

                                                                                     Aarefa Aamir Kalawadwala

Women in the workplace are not there to be just a pre y face.
                                                                                I love sunsets
I'm not arrogant because when I pass your desk, I don't say “Hi”. The whole sky painted orange and red
Also, I'm not stuck up because when I leave I don't say “Bye”. “The poetry of the Earth is never
                                                                                dead” John Keats once said.
Maybe, you should think about what's on my mind,
Rather than inspect my clothes and body design I love watching pre y people
                                                                                With a en on unneeded
Your eyes make me feel exposed.
                                                                                Love how lovers are greeted
                                                                                With all cares receded
Maybe, you should look at my work,
Instead of giving me a smirk hoping for a perk. I love how anyone offers their shoulder
It's not my job to smile and make you content When someone falls asleep in public
Love someone who knows random facts
About all, from a pen to the republic
I won't apologize for making you uncomfortable with my presence
Just stay out of my way, I won't relent or be subdued
                                                                                I love my friend's “I missed you”
