Rotaract Club

The theme of the Rotaract Club of Hinduja College for the year 2020-21 was #ChallengeTheLimits.
The Club’s activities during the academic year were the following :

Collaboration with Other Clubs
The Rotaract Club of Hinduja College collaborated with more than 50 Rotaract Clubs across the
Rotaract District No. 3141 (Mumbai), as well as one from Nepal. Some of the collaborators included
the Rotaract Clubs of Belgaum, Assam, Delhi and Nepal.

Udaan – Educational Support Initiative
The Club conducted 'Udaan' – an Educational Support Initiative which gave special attention to and
helped special learners / students with learning disabilities who could not continue with their
schooling because of schools being shut on account of the pandemic. Around 35 slow learners were
taught for five months by student members of the Rotaract Club.

'Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Aur'
Awareness campaigns were conducted for school students on the importance of hygiene, the need to
use face masks and sanitizers and to maintain social distancing.

Cultural Events
• A cultural performance titled 'Yeh Shaam Mastani' provided a platform to senior citizens to
express themselves through music, songs, poetry and dance.

• An event titled 'If Not Now, When?' and 'The Final Year: The First Opportunity' was conducted
for 9th and 10th grade students respectively.

Inter-College Participation & Achievements

• The Rotaract Club of the College participated in various District Level Competitions and won
several prizes which included Zodiak 2.0 conducted by the Rotaract Club of Jai Hind College.

• Under the leadership of the Third Woman President of the RCHC in its 21st Year, Rtr. Jeel
Thakkar along with her team ranked 8th rank among the Rotaract Clubs of Mumbai District.

• Each year, District 3141 hosts the Academy for Awarding Rotaract Achievement (AARA). The
Rotaract Club of the College won the AARA Acer Award for 'Best Partners-In-Service Avenue'
and 'Best IPP-President Relations'.
