Webinar on 'Consumerism and Financial Literacy'
The Alumni Association along with the NSS Unit of the College organized a webinar on 'Consumerism and
Financial Literacy'. The webinar began with a Welcome Address and Introductory Speech by the Progamme
Officer of the NSS Unit. The two Resource Persons on the occasion were Mrs. Archana Bhingarde who spoke
about 'Financial Literacy' and Mr. T. R. Pandey who spoke on the subject of 'Consumerism'.
Mrs. Bhingarde started her session by giving various related
examples related to day to day financial expenditure and saving.
With a PPT Presentation she spoke about the many aspects of
investment such as why one should invest, where one should
invest, when one should invest, the procedure of investment and
various principles of investment. She also talked about the
benefits of early savings and how one can become a smart
investor by following certain Do's and Don'ts that she had listed.
Mr. Pandey spoke about the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and
the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. He made the participants
aware about how they can seek redressal against the
malpractices they face through proper legal procedures.The
webinar concluded with a collection of feedback forms and a
formal Vote of Thanks. (May 06, 2021)
Marathi Vangmay Mandal

The Marathi Vangmay Mandal celebrated 'MARATHI PAKHWADA' Mr. Manoj Warade, Head
of the Public Relations Department of Bombay Electric Supply And Transport (BEST)
Mumbai, was invited as the Chief Guest. Principal Dr. Minu Madlani, Vice-Principal Dr. Antara
Sonawane, Prof.Uttam Bhagat, Prof. Archana Anchalwar and Prof. Jyoti Bharathi graced the
occasion with their presence.
The programme commenced with 'Ganesh Vandana' sung by alumnus, Ms.
Maithili Apte. This was followed by song and dance performances by
students and reading and poetry recitation by students and faculty members,
Prof. Uttam Bhagat and Prof. Jyoti Bharathi. On the second day of the
programme Prof. Archana Anchalwar presented an outstanding write-up on
'Marathi Bhasha and Its Beauty'; Dr. Sheetal Mody recited a poem penned by
the famous Marathi poet, Gadima (G.D. Madgulkar). Dr. Kailas Kagade also
recited a poem on the occasion. (January 23 & 25, 2021)
