• Orientation Programme
An Orientation Programme was organized for the First-Year students of B. Com. (Accounting & Finance) wherein students
were introduced to the academic programme and given an overview about the course, examination pattern, guest lectures,
previous students' achievements, placements and career opportunities available in the fields of Accounting and Finance.

• Guest Lectures
• A Guest Lecture on 'Actuarial Science as a Career Opportunity' was organised for T.Y.B.Com. (Accounting and Finance)
students in association with Institute of Actuarial and Quantitative Studies (IAQS). The Resource Person from IAQS, Mr.
Aman Jain spoke about the importance and potential of Data Analytics and Actuarial Science as a career option. (January 23,
2023)
• A seminar on Career Guidance was organised for F.Y.B.Com. (Accounting and Finance) students in which Ms. Vimala
Jogadia, Senior Executive Assistant Western India Regional Council of ICSI addressed students about the CS course and
other courses that can be pursued along with B.Com (Accounting and Finance). (October 15, 2022)
• Workshop
A workshop on 'Personal Financial Well-Being' was organised for F.Y. B. Com. (Accounting & Finance) students in
association with Bombay Stock Exchange. Faculty member, Dr. Ranu Jain addressed 75 students in the workshop with an
objective to create awareness about the personal financial well-being of people since financial literacy is pivotal for overall
national development. The session covered subjects such as financial planning and its benefits, options available for
investment and the pros and cons of the investment. (September 09, 2022)
• Visits
• A visit to BSE was organised for 350 students of B. Com. (Accounting & Finance) students who were escorted by the Course
Co-ordinator Dr. Samira Sayed and Department members, Ms. Shehnaaz Nazkani and Mr. Piyush Agarwal. The session
began with an introduction about the origin and evolution of Bombay Stock Exchange as a premier Stock Exchange in the
year 1875. The session gave a comprehensive insight into the overall working of the Bombay Stock Exchange which is the
fastest stock exchange in terms of financial dealings. The session was concluded by informing students and explaining to
them about the various career options available at Bombay Stock Exchange. (September 22, 2022)
• 140 students along with the Course Co-ordinator, Dr. Samira Sayed and Department members, Ms. Shehnaaz Nazkani and
Mr. Piyush Agarwal visited NSE (NSE in collaboration with HDFC) where Guest Speaker, Mr. Purv Shah addressed them on
topics such as Change Management Acceptability and Implementation. Details about Capital Market Instruments were also
covered in depth with examples. The session concluded with a Quiz Competition and felicitation of the winners. (October 15,
2022)
