                               Self Defence Techniques (August 06 – 08, 2019)

      The rst activity conducted by the Women Development Cell in the academic year was a 3- day
      Self-Defence Workshop.. The Guest Trainer was alumnus, Swastik Pitale who along with his
      assistants  Manu  Bhattrai,  Mahima  Kanabar,  Joginder  Parmar  and  Govind  Rawal
      demonstrated various types of kicks, blocks as well as attacks which might be faced in  real life
      situations. Each move was explained in detail and in sequential order. Instruction was also
      given  for  defence  against  an  assortment  of  knife  attacks.  The  Trainer  also  guided  the
      participants in doing routine exercises such as push ups, squats, stretching etc. in the correct
      manner  to  strengthen  the  body  and  to  improve  agility.  The  interactive,  informative  and

      thoroughly enjoyable workshop had a gratifying response of over 200 women students.

                                 Digital Literacy for Women (January 10, 2020)

      Maharashtra State Commission for Women in collaboration with K.P.B. Hinduja College of
      Commerce, Mumbai successfully organized a Workshop on 'Digital Literacy for Women' which
      was attended by over 250 women students, faculty and non-teaching staff members.

      Growing dependence on cyberspace; increasing threats to cyber security and unavoidable
      dependency on digital services, tools, and applications have made digital literacy a necessity
      in current times. Maharashtra State Commission for Women has extended special assistance
      and support and has devised an appropriate framework to create a cyber-safe world for

      college students.

      Principal Dr. Minu Madlani in her inaugural address said that an effective incident response
      plan to prevent and mitigate cyber-attacks was the need of the hour.  Ms. Rupali Kapse, the
      Trainer for the session shared her expertise and experience with an engaged audience
